Markets continue to digest Sino/US stand off and mixed messages from the White House on how negotiations are going. However, bourses have ticked higher as Washington looks to ease some of the car tariffs. The effect of a poor Dallas Fed survey is still echoing, and progress is muted as a slew of earnings is released today with Astra Zeneca, Visa, Coca-Cola, Pfizer and PayPal among many. EU Business, Industrial, Economic and Services Sentiment indices were all lower, but have had little effect on bourses so far. A packed US data set sees JOLTs Job Openings, Consumer Confidence, Inventories and Goods Trade Balance. DAX +0.96%, CAC -0.13%, FTSE +0.19%, Euro STOXX600 +0.30%. USD recovers, but forex quiet, DXY 99.28. Gold 3313. BTC $95,049.
