Donald Trump cuts short G7 attendance and now new trade deals are achieved in side-meetings. He warns people to evacuate Tehran, but later US officials said it will not join in Israel attacks. G7 accuses Iran of being a regional destabiliser, that it should never have a nuclear weapon and says Israel has right to defend itself. Different reports of varied countries involving diplomatic thrusts from Iran and US. Investors stay lean and not helped by unchanged rate decision by BoJ and even that it will slow taper of debt drawdown. Equities are negative and even better German ZEW surveys are unable to quell risk off. DAX -1.29%, CAC -1.04%, FTSE +0.14%, Euro STOXX600 -0.86%. Forex in tight ranges as world events hold sway and US Retail Sales and Industrial Production will likely be drowned out, DXY 98.19. Gold 3385. BTC $106,154.
